The Suffield Township Board of Trustees met on Tuesday November 9th in the Suffield Community Room before a crowd of eleven concerned citizens. Most of the business discussed was of the routine nature. Chief Bob Rasnick's monthly report for October showed that the firemen responded to 82 calls for service. The firemen also received five continuing education classes, as well as their daily training. The Chief had also submitted a bid sheet for a new pumper truck, which the trustees are considering as a replacement for the aging 1994 International pumper the Department currently uses.
Jeff Eldreth congratulated the Field Cross County team that qualified for the state meet in Columbus. Vicki Wine wanted to offer her praise and thanks for the fine job that the Suffield League did on Fall Festival event back on Friday October 29th. The League and Wingfoot Lake worked together to make the event a success. At trustee Jared Phillip's request, the trustees also agreed to spend up to $1,000 for new signage in front of the Road Department garage. Tom Calcei said the Suffield League in conjunction with the Lions Club and Suffield Township Historical society will host a "Chili Cook Off" on the weekend of February 4, 2022.
