Suffield Township Is Accepting Bids For Road Materials
The Suffield Township Board of Trustees is accepting bids for road materials to be used in 2019. A "Notice to Bidders Letter" and "Bid Sheet Forms" are available on this website in the "Roads" section, or by stopping by the Suffield Fire Department or from Road Department foreman Pete Einloth at 1225 State Route 43. To see Pete Einloth, you'll need an appointment. He can be reached at 628-4974. Bids need to be received by the end of the business day Monday April 22, 2019, as they will be opened at the trustees meeting on April 23rd..
Community Forum - Our Schools In Crisis
This community forum will provide information on the state of our schools as well as provide information on the upcoming levies (Two new levies and one renewal). You will learn about the crisis that our school system faces and how it will affect our community. The forum in Suffield will be on Monday April 22nd at 6:30 PM at the Suffield Elementary School.
Suffield Lions Club To Hold Reverse Raffle
The Suffield Lions Club is holding their annual Reverse Raffle on Saturday April 27th at the Randolph Knights of Columbus Hall. The cost is $50 per person. Call David Kuntzman at 699-3401 for tickets.
Annual Plant Sale Is May 3rd & 4th
The Suffield Township Historical Society will hold its Annual Plant Sale on Friday May 3rd and Saturday May 4th. The event will be held in front of the Historical Society's Museum, beginning at 9:00 AM each day and ending at 4:00 PM. This is a rain or shine event. Donations of perennials will be gladly accepted and my be dropped off either day. The Plant Sale is the Historical Society's largest fundraiser each year.
License Plate Renewals
When buying new license plates, or renewing them, be sure the registrar at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles knows that you live in Suffield Township. If you simply state your address as Mogadore, the road tax funds, which should go to Suffield Township, will go to Mogadore Village, due to your zip code. Keep your tax money in the township!
Suffield Township Website Passes 315,000 Visitors Since April 1, 2015
As of March 24, 2019, Suffield Township's website had 315,117 visitors since April 1, 2015. Since the "new" website was adopted, the daily viewership has risen from about 40 per day to over 398.80 per day. Thanks for taking a look at "suffieldtownshipohio.com". Tell your friends about us.
Wingfoot Lake State Park is Suffield's only park. It was opened by the Ohio State Parks & Recreation Department in 2009. Goodyear had operated the park since the 1960's as a private playground for its employees and for corporate retreats. As the company footprint grew smaller in the Akron area Goodyear decided to close the park in 2006.
