Emergency & Assistance
For emergencies requiring immediate assistance, dial 9-1-1. For other emergencies call the Portage County Sheriff (330-296-5100), the Ohio State Highway Patrol (330-297-1441) or the Suffield Township Fire Department (330-628-9240).
The Township has contracted to provide an emergency notification system, by which you can be notified by your local emergency response team in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. These may include evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child reports. You could also be notified of tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings issued by the National Weather Service. Sign up here for phone and/or email alerts now!
The United Way 211 Service connects families and individuals in Portage County with community resources - food, shelter, material goods, temporary financial aid, transportation - and volunteer opportunities. Simply dial 211 for assistance.
This organization provides short-term emergency assistance to Township residents, such as for shut off notices from the electric/gas company, eviction notices, or medical emergencies. An application is required.
